According to the press release, the students will begin visiting residents within the next four to eight weeks to educate them about the available programs.The programs include the Energy Utility Assistance Program, which would give customers a discount on their electric utility bills, the Energy Assistance Savings Program, which would install energy saving products such as LEDs at no cost and free water saving programs such as Landscape Turf Removal, according to the media release.The collaboration between PWP and OBA continues their long standing partnership which allows students to gain experience while learning about energy conservation. The outreach effort is a part of the OBA’s “Careers in Conservation” Program, where inner city high school students are put into real world settings in preparation for employment.No sensitive data will be collected during the visits, according to a city memorandum.For more information on PWP income qualified programs and services, please visit http://www.PWPweb.com/CARE, or call (626) 744-6970.
