Sometimes change is good…Wellington has this overall mentality, which is why NOTHING ever changes for the better!!! Report Reply 1 reply · active 317 weeks ago +3 Vote up Vote down David Edge · 317 weeks ago LWLW did I strike a nerve. It was a question. I didn’t say it was bad. I just said if its not broke don’t fix it. I was also thinking of all the elderly people I watch sit out on the corner of the street on south Washington and watch the parade go by. Forgive me for having an opinion Report Reply +4 Vote up Vote down Jane Cole · 317 weeks ago David, Since the Farm Expo is going on an extra day, all of the farm equipment will still be sitting in the 100 and 200 block of North Washington. Since this is the “Wheat Festival” in honor of celebrating our farming community and their seminars are at the Memorial Auditorium, , the committee thought it appropriate to have them in that location. The decision to go west on Harvey instead of east was made because the road to take the parade to the south is wider on Jefferson than on C plus Bank of Commerce is the Main sponsor of the event. One thing about it, things are always going to change. While there are some people who will not like this change, at least it shows us that our festival is growing. If you would like to be on the committee that makes these decisions each year, we would be happy to have you join us. Thanks Jane Cole Wellington Chamber Board Member Report Reply 1 reply · active 317 weeks ago +3 Vote up Vote down David Edge · 317 weeks ago Thank you for a kind and appropriate answer and not jumping to conclusions. I was just asking a serious question. Change doesn’t bother me one bit. I’m not popular enough to be on any board of any committee nor do I know enough about Wellington to wish to do so. Report Reply +2 Vote up Vote down Guest · 317 weeks ago Change can be good and healthy. Its great that they are making wheat a part of the Wheat Festival. One change that is needed is the carnival. It feels like groundhog day with the same rides in the same locations for consecutive years. The only change seems to be the price. I was asking a question. Maybe my life is small but I’m not the one making assumptions and berating people on the internet Report Reply +3 Vote up Vote down Tarina olson · 317 weeks ago My wallet is missing I am hosting a booth selling hair bows Taylor’s Bow-tique and if anyone sees a wallet I am missing it lost today.
